Textiles and textile products gained 1.8% in the euro-zone, but decreased by 1.2% in the EU25. Manufacturing of machinery and equipment dropped by 2.0% and 1.8% respectively.

In November 2004, and among the Member States for which data are available, total manufacturing working on orders rose in eleven Member States and fell in three. The largest rises were recorded in Lithuania (+75.0%), France (+27.2%), Latvia (+24.5%) and the Czech Republic (+20.9%). Decreases were observed in Portugal
(-9.0%), Denmark (-4.6%) and the Netherlands (-1.0%).

Euro-zone: Belgium, Germany, Greece, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal and Finland.

The new orders index measures the value of future deliveries of products and services (which are directly linked to these products) to be provided by a producer to a third party on the domestic and non-domestic market. The total manufacturing aggregate includes only those NACE levels required by the STS Regulation to be supplied by the Member States (NACE 17, 18, 21, 24, 27-35) and is referred to as “total manufacturing working on orders”.

The euro-zone, EU25 and EU15 aggregates do not include Member States for which no data is available. These aggregates are only calculated if the Member States included account for 60% or more of the total weight of the euro-zone, EU25 or EU15. For methodology and for the currently used weights, see News Release 135/2003 of 26 November 2003.

Data of previous months have been revised compared to those issued in the News Release 156/2004 of 22 December 2004. The figures for October 2004 were +0.2% in the euro-zone and +0.7% in the EU25 for the monthly changes, and +0.6% in the euro-zone and +0.2% in the EU25 for the annual changes.

This strong increase is due to significant new orders in the aerospace industry in November 2004.

The seasonally adjusted euro-zone, EU25 and EU15 series are calculated by aggregating the unadjusted series from individual Member States and performing an adjustment for seasonal effects on these series. Therefore the seasonally adjusted figures for the European aggregates are based directly on the unadjusted series coming from the Member States and not on an aggregation of the seasonally adjusted indices from the Member States. The euro-zone, EU25 and EU15 seasonally adjusted growth rates might differ from the weighted growth rates of the individual Member States. This procedure also implies that the aggregation of the overall figures is not based on the published details.

Data for Spain, Finland and the United Kingdom are included in the European aggregates. They are not published at the national level and are therefore still confidential.

For More Details Click Following Link

Business Category

Machinery and Industrial Equipments

Air Pollution Control

Anodizing

Blades- Industrial
